Are the colours of the jewellery shown on the website accurate?

How do I know if an item is in stock?

All items are in stock unless 'SOLD OUT' is displayed. Please note that even if an item is in your shopping bag, it can still be bought by another customer until you have completed your order. However, in such a situation where the particular product is either sold or not available, Jewelroof shall manufacture it and complete the order. Is your Silver Jewellery durable?

Absolutely! To give our Silver jewellery lasting shine, we apply a special coating that gives the rhodium polish on our jewellery extra shine and durability. While all jewellery, whether gold or silver is susceptible to wear and tear from chemicals like perfumes, soaps and things like dirt and sweat, there is no reason to worry about your jewellery. Regular care in cleaning and storage will ensure that your jewellery keeps shining for a long time to come. To share our experience, we have seen that different types of Rhodium polishes seem to have a varied life cycle. It is inevitable that any piece of jewellery whether gold or silver will eventually require re-polishing, but in our specific experience with Silver jewellery we have found that White Rhodium has the maximum durability, followed by Black Rhodium and finally Yellow & Rose Rhodium polish. Despite this minor difference in durability of the different coloured polishes, the coating that we use as a layer between the Silver and Rhodium Polish provides lasting shine for all our products!

Will I get an order confirmation?

Yes. Your order confirmation will be sent to the e-mail you provide while placing your order. We may also give you a confirmation call once the order is placed on your registered mobile number.

What should I do if I don’t receive my order confirmation email from you?

Generally, you will receive a confirmation email for your order within 24 hours’ time, except in case of any technical difficulties.

Another reason for you to not receive the confirmation email is if the email address provided to us was incorrect. In such a case you can amend the email address in you’re My Accounts section.

Do you match prices if an item I purchased goes down in price later?

All sales prices are final and Jewelroof does not price match. All our pricing is calculated using current precious metal and gem prices to give you the best possible value. These prices do change from time to time and our prices do too.

How can I check on the status of my order?

The status of the order can be tracked by logging into your account on our website. Look for “Orders” under the “My Account” section to check the status of your order. Alternatively, you can also track your order using the ‘Track Order’ tool available under the services menu on the website.

Do I need to type my address every time I order?

For registered users, we offer the facility to retrieve saved addresses. For all new customers, a onetime process of providing the address (Shipping address / Billing Address) at the time of registration is needed. Once you have ordered with us, your shipping and billing addresses are saved in your My Account section. While placing any subsequent order, simply enter your email id/ user id and password to use this saved address. You can also login to the My Account section to manage your saved addresses.

What if there is a problem with my purchase?

If there are any problems with the quality of the workmanship of your piece, we'll repair it free of charge and pay the shipping too. If you damage a piece, we'll repair it for you for a very reasonable fee plus shipping: we want you to enjoy your piece, not have it sitting in a box! If you are still not satisfied with product, you can return the product to us within 15 days under our 15 Day Returns Policy. This is applicable for orders delivered within India only.

Do you offer repair of jewellery after purchase?

Yes, we offer repair of jewellery after purchase. Charges for the repair will be minimal and we offer the best service as we know our piece of jewellery much better than anyone else.

I lost my jewellery certificate; can I get a duplicate?

Yes, we can arrange a duplicate for you at an approximate cost of Rs 1500. It will come with copy/duplicate written across the certificate as a watermark. For delivery outside India, we will be charging an additional $ 20 USD as shipping charges.

I am being charged a GST amount on my order. What is GST?

Goods and Service Tax (GST) is an indirect tax levied on the supply of goods and services. GST will have to borne/paid by the ultimate consumer of the product. GST is levied at the rate of 3 % for Jewellery and 0.25 % for Solitaires and Gemstones. The price stated on website is inclusive of taxes.

Can I change the order details I already confirmed?

No, you cannot change the order you have already confirmed; however, you may cancel the order. Kindly go through our Cancellation Policy before you decide to cancel the order. You can change the shipping details provided the product has not been yet shipped to the destination by contacting our Customer Care Team.

Can I add items to an existing order?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to combine orders or add items to an existing order. If you would like all your items to be delivered together, you will need to cancel your order/s (this you can do only if the order has not already been dispatched) and place a new order which contains all the items you require. What happens if the ring I bought doesn't fit? Can I re-size my Ring?

We understand that knowing your perfect ring size can be a task. Therefore, we provide you the option to get your ring resized for free with us. We offer complimentary ring resizing within 15 days from the date delivered. If the design doesn't permit resizing, we will replace the ring free of cost with a new ring of the new size. If it is a bigger ring you require, we will only charge you the additional price of the new ring, as listed on our website. For a smaller ring, we will be happy to refund you the additional amount paid by you while placing the initial order. Beyond 15 days from date of delivery, if the design permits, we can resize the ring for a small additional charge. This is applicable for orders within India only.

Can I take a ring to my local jeweller to have it resized?

Of course, but we don't recommend it. We can't accept returns of items that have been modified by someone else. Having someone else work on a piece also voids the 15 Day Returns Policy and Exchange and Buyback Policy, because these modifications when done incorrectly, can damage the gems or the strength of the setting.

Can I return the order to the courier agent and take my cash back from him?

The courier agent is not authorized to accept the opened product and return your cash. Are there any restrictions on the Offline Payment modes?

How long will it take to get Cheque or Demand Draft cleared?

What is the difference between billing address and shipping address?

Shipping is the process of Manufacturing, Packing and Dispatching of your Jewellery from our manufacturing unit or head office. The address where your orders are delivered is called the Shipping Address.

Delivery is the time taken for your Jewellery to reach you once it has been dispatched on our end. The address where you receive your Invoice is called Billing Address. And yes, you can give different addresses according to your convenience.

What packaging will my order be shipped in?

Your jewellery will arrive in exclusive Jewelroof gift boxes. We will put these boxes in a luxurious signature tin box, bubble wrapped and sealed, placed in corrugated and tamper proof packaging.

The package set will include a beautiful display box, original invoice, certificate for each jewel purchased, a fact sheet on how to take care of your jewellery and a free jewellery cleaning cloth.

Should you need to get you jewellery gift-wrapped, please do let us know. We will be happy to do the same at zero cost.

For orders that are dispatched, we will be able to reship it to your new address as soon as the consignment is returned back to us. Approximately, a week’s time will be enough to reship the product.

However, for international deliveries, will not be able to reship the product to your new address, in case you have not updated the address before the jewellery is ready for dispatch.

How long will it take to ship and deliver my order?

For your convenience, an estimated ‘Ships By’ date is mentioned on the product details page. Our delivery date depends on the product selected as well as the shipping address provided by you. Ready to ship products will be delivered to your address within 2 to 15 business days. ‘Made to Order’ products take 2 to 25 business days to safely deliver these jewellery pieces to you. This includes the time taken to individually handcraft each product and ship it to your delivery address. If you have a customized order, this time could vary. While we always try to ship our products by the ‘Ships By’ date, sometimes certain contingencies can cause minor variations in the shipping date. Once the goods are dispatched, an email will be sent having the tracking number of the shipment. Also, we will keep you informed as to when it will be delivered to you within this time frame. For our customers based in Nashik Maharashtra, you may pick up any order you may have placed on our website from our Jewelroof store located at Untwadi Road, Nashik, Maharashtra India.

Once the product is ready, a team member from Jewelroof will send a pickup notification email or give a call on the number made while placing an order and ask if the product should be delivered to you or if you will pick it up from our store. This service is however only applicable to our customers from Nashik Maharashtra.

For customers outside Nashik Maharashtra, our courier partners will deliver your product to you free of cost and fully insured.

Will I know the exact date and time when courier will come to deliver my order?

You will receive an email and SMS intimation once your order is shipped from our fulfilment center. Delivery will depend upon your city of shipment and can range from 2-15 days. The courier may / may not call you when your order has reached your city and is about to be delivered. Courier delivery teams typically deliver orders between 9am - 6pm, Monday to Saturday. We highly recommend that you be available at the address given to accept the order. The courier agent cannot deliver the order to the security personnel at your building / housing society. In the event you want to have the ordered delivered to your work address, then it is best you give your work address for delivery. What if I am unavailable when the product is being delivered?

In case you are not available at the time of delivery, not to worry. The courier company will attempt twice to deliver the package and may leave a delivery card for you to contact them in order to re-arrange delivery. In case of the third failed attempt, the package will be returned to the company. In such a case you will have to pay all costs for re-shipment and handling. Do I have to sign for the parcel personally, or can someone else sign for it?

Due to the high value of the goods that we sell and in the interest of our customers, we require proof of delivery for all orders. People in your household can sign for the parcel; but they will be asked for some proof of identification. Jewelroof offers free insurance on all purchases, during transit, so that your purchase is 100% safe. Though it would be rare that a product is lost in transit, should this happen we will re-ship the product to you without any additional cost or refund your money based on your request. Cubic Zirconia stones are man-made diamond simulants with optical characteristics very close to natural diamonds. On the Mohs scale of 1-10 for hardness, a CZ is 8.5 - 8.9, while a diamond is 10. Sand or dirt will not scratch a CZ or a diamond, but CZs and diamonds will both scratch glass. A CZ weighs more than a diamond, and this is a principal way to tell them apart.

What are "synthetic" diamonds?

Real diamonds have been created naturally through intense levels of heat and pressure deep within the ground. All natural diamonds are thought to be between 70 million and 3 billion years old. They are mined, cut and polished by highly skilled craftsmen and are not otherwise tampered with.

‘Synthetic’ or 'cultured' diamonds are created in the laboratory. All ‘synthetic’ or 'cultured' diamonds must legally be declared as such. Jewelroof offers only are real and natural diamonds.


What is Platinum?

Platinum is a noble metal, like Gold & Silver. It is used in jewellery-making at Jewelroof. Platinum has some very unique properties that make it ideal for jewellery making.

* Platinum is the least reactive of all the noble metals used in jewellery. It does not cause any allergies or body reactions.
* Platinum is upto 50% stronger and harder than gold which makes it highly resistant to wear & tear. Weight loss over time is minimal.
* Platinum is naturally greyish-white, does not tarnish & remains retains its natural colour always.

What is the difference between platinum, white gold & silver?

Platinum, White Gold & Silver are 3 different metals.

* Platinum is the rarest & the most precious of the 3. Platinum (Pt 950) is currently around 50% more expensive than Gold. It is naturally white & resistant to tarnish. At Jewelroof we use Pt 950 authorized by the Platinum Guild International (PGI).
* White Gold is an alloy of Gold, White in colour, it has all the properties of Gold because inherently it is Gold. We have a good collection of diamond jewellery made in White Gold.
* Silver is the cheapest of the 3 metals. Currently Silver is around 2.5% the price of Gold & just 1.67% the price of Platinum. At Jewelroof we make jewellery in silver only on order.

Key Differences:

1. They are different metals.
2. Platinum is about 40% denser than white gold, much more stronger and heavier.
3. Platinum is 30 times rarer than gold.
4. Platinum does not lose metal when scratched, the metal is only displaced. Effectively your net platinum weight will not change over time, due to scratching.
5. White Gold is an alloy of gold with nickel & silver & it will lose its white look over time to give you a yellowish white creamy colour look. Actually, white gold is never pure white, it is creamy in colour, it looks sparkling white due to the rhodium plating on new jewellery.
6. Some customers are allergic to Nickel and hence allergic to white gold. We recommend Platinum as the preferred white metal for customers who are allergic to white gold.
7. We craft platinum jewellery in Pt 950 only, i.e. 95% Platinum which is a much higher purity than even 22K Gold, which is only 91.6% pure. White gold is an alloy of gold with gold purity of 75% or less (18K White Gold has 75% purity, 14K White Gold has 58.5% purity and 9K White Gold has 37.5% purity.)

Should I get my diamond set in platinum or gold?

A platinum setting will usually work best with a diamond, though it is usually a little more expensive. Because platinum is a stronger metal, your diamond will be safer under a platinum setting. If you have a very clean, good diamond, then the platinum can make it stand out. Yet, in the same situation, if you had a gold setting, the gold might make the diamond look more yellow than it really is, which is not desirable. If you are looking at grades D-G and IF - VVS2, platinum may be a better choice.

Are gemstones like rubies and sapphires secure in platinum?

Pt 950 is the purity mark of Platinum. It means that the Platinum Purity in the jewellery is 95%. At Jewelroof, all platinum jewellery is made in 95% pure platinum only. And, every piece is hallmarked with Pt 950 & accompanied by a certificate of authenticity verifying the same.

We have a three-layer security for our products.

1. All platinum jewelry by Jewelroof is hallmarked for Pt 950 (the platinum purity mark for 95% pure platinum)
2. Each piece of platinum jewelry has a unique identification number that is engraved on it. That UID helps us to uniquely identify that product.

Lab-created stones are formed in a controlled environment whereas natural gemstones are formed by mother nature's natural processes. Both share the same physical, chemical and visual properties. The lab produced stone is usually free from major defects and can be structurally stronger than its natural counterpart while also achieving optimum colour.

Are the gemstones used in your jewellery natural or synthetic?

We use both natural and synthetic gemstones and the same is mentioned in the description page of the particular item. The pricing is based accordingly.


Do pearls come in different colours?

Yes, there are several different colours of pearls including black, grey, brown and purple. While white is the most popular, the other colours are also either naturally occurring or cultured.

In earlier times when pearls were only available in their natural form, the black variant was something of a rarity.
